一、教学设计总思路本堂课以“The journey of animals discovery”为主线，通过阅读让学生挖掘出文本的框架并归纳出文本的内容，同时培养学生的阅读技能，层层递进以读促思、以思促写构建一种写作的思维模式，为后面的oral writing做铺垫。本堂课从read for the structure—read for the content—read for the oral writing逐步为学生搭建脚手架。二、教材分析本单元的主题是谈论有关地理和自然的话题。本节课选自人教版八年级下Unit7 Section B 2a-2e的reading部分。教材上阅读的主要内容是关“稀动物—大猫（panda）”的文章。我大胆地将教材进行了第二次重构，将阅读文章改编成“IPW”模式，让学生通过阅读了解panda的习性和频临灭绝的原因，并呼吁学生保护惜动物，最后学生通过oral writing来巩固运用“IPW”模式。三、学情分析本节课采用借班上课，对学生的基本情况不太了解。但初二的学生具有以下特征：学生英语水平参差不齐，部分学生具备较强的阅读理解，而部分学生阅读理解薄弱，所以针对不同的学习需求，教师在设计教学务时必须注意基本核心语言材料并适当地拓展，逐步搭台阶增强学生学习英语的自信心。四、教学难点1.会运用阅读策略：skimming, scanning and mind-map reading2.通过阅读会填写mind-map 3.会运用阅读所掌握的信息来讨论怎样保护动物五、教学目标1.understand the reading skills: skimming, scanning and mind-map reading; 2.use the three reading skills（skimming, scanning and mind-map） to analyze the structure and find the details of the article;3.realize the animals’ current situation and call on others to pay attention to the endangered animals.六、教学准备教师：多媒体教学设备，卡片，小磁铁等学生： |
