文 章 来源初中 教师网 w ww.9 10w.Ne t 孙用梨 在英语学习中,我们经常会遇到as引导的这样那样的状语从句。在此,我们就将as引导的以及与as相关的一些状语从句作一下小结,希望对大家学习as的用法有所帮助。 (1) 时间状语从句 ① as引导时间状语从句,意为“正当……的时候”或“一边……一边……”,as所表示的动作与主句的动作同时发生。如: He entered the room as the meeting was going on. 正当开会的时候他走了房间。 Tom sings as he works. 汤姆一边工作,一边唱歌。 ② as引导时间状语从句也可以说明两种正发展或变化的情况,有“随着”之意,表示时间的推移。如: As time goes on, the boy grows into a man. 随着时间的推移,那个男孩长成了一个男子汉。 ③ as引导的时间状语从句还可以强调两个动作紧接着发生。如: As he was going out, it began to rain. 当他出去的时候,天开始下雨了。 ④ 含as的结构:as soon as... 一……就…… 如: I’ll ring you up as soon as he comes. 他一来我就给你打电话。 As soon as she came to the classroom, she began to read English. 她一到教室,就开始读英语。 (2) 原因状语从句 as引导原因状语从句,意为“因为,由于”,与because相比,语气上较弱且较口语化,它不能回答why提出的问题,也不能放在强调句中被强调。一般地,在as引导的原因状语从句中,主句和从句并重,从句说明原因,主句说明结果。如: As she was ill, she didn’t go to school. (=Being ill, she didn’t go to school.) 由于病了,她没去上学。 (3) 方式状语从句 ①As引导方式状语从句,意为“如同,像”。如: Please do it as I told you. 请按照我所讲的去做。 ②just as意为“正如……,犹如……”。如: It is just as you said. 事情正如你说的那样。 注意:just as还可以表示“正当……的时候”之意,引导时间状语从句。:如: He came just as I was leaving. 我正要走时,他来了。 ③含as的结构:as if/as though 好象,仿佛。 如: The child talks as if he were a man. 那孩子说起话来像个大人似的。 I remember it as if it were yesterday. 我记得这件事,仿佛是昨天发生似的。 The girl stood at the gate as if (she was) waiting for someone. 那个女孩站在门口好象在等人。 (4) 让步状语从句 as引导让步状语从句,意为“虽然,尽管”,从句部分用倒装语序,其结构形式为:
副词 名词(不带冠词) +as+主语+谓语 动词 如: Child as he is, he knows a lot of things. 他虽然是个孩子,但知道许多事情。 注意:这种倒装结构中的名词前不用冠词,即不可以说A child as he is或The child as he is. Clever as he is, he can’t do it. 尽管他很聪明,也做不了这事。 Much as she admired him, she didn’t love him. 尽管她很钦佩他,但并不爱他。 Try as I might, I couldn’t lift the stone. 尽管我试了,我还是搬不动这块石头。 Tired as they were, they walked on. 尽管很累,他们还是继续走着。 注意:在这种倒装结构中,也可以用though,但不用although,如: Bravely though the players fought, they had no chance of winning. 尽管这些运动员们都非常地英勇,但他们依然没有赢的机会。 (5) 比较状语从句 引导比较状语从句的含as结构有as…as(和……一样),not as/so…as(和……不一样), 这类从句通常以省略形式出现; 此外还有the same as…和such…as…用于表示同等程度的比较。如: I’ll finish the work as soon as I can. 我将尽早完成这项工作。 She doesn’t sing so (as) well as her sister. 她不如她姐姐唱得好。 Your watch is not the same as mine. 你的表同我的表不一样。 (6) 条件状语从句 引导条件状语从句的含as结构有so/as long as(只要),as/so far as…(就……而言),according as(如果……, 取决于),如: As/So long as you don’t lose heart, you’ll find a way to overcome the difficulty. 只要你不灰心,就能找到克服困难的方法。 As/So far as I can see, there is one possible way to keep away from the danger. 依我看,这是唯一一个可能避开危险的方法。 As far as I know, he has never driven a car. 据我所知,他从未开过车。 According as I have time, I’ll go with you. =If I have time, I’ll go with you. 如果我有时间,我将同你一起去。 (7) 目的状语 在句子中作目的状语的含as的结构有so as to…为了……,以便…… 如: Go in quietly so as not to wake the baby. 轻点儿进去,别吵醒孩子。 He ran fast so as to arrive there before ten o’clock. 他快跑以便在10点钟以前到达那儿。 (8) 结果状语 在句子中作结果状语的含as的结构有so…as to…如此……以致于…… 如: He was so angry as to be unable to speak. 他气得话都说不出来。 Will you be so good as to help me out of the trouble? 你会很好心,帮我摆脱困境吗? 文 章来源初中 教师网 w ww.9 10w.Ne t |
