一．教学背景分析：
（一）教学内容分析：
本节课教学内容为人教版Go for it 八年级下册unit 9（Section B2a-2e），主要为阅读教学。阅读语篇从语言、食物、动物园、天气四个方面介绍新加坡；同时从文化和地域分布的角度来看，新加坡也是东南亚国家文化的一个重要代表。本节课结合阅读语篇继续学习现在完成时，并通过丰富的阅读材料呈现been,ever和never的用法。
（二）学情分析与教学环境分析：
初中生的学习心理特点： （1）兴趣：对英语普遍感兴趣，但有很大的不稳定性，好奇心强，求知欲旺盛，已不满足教师对课文的简单重复。（2）记忆：对刺激记忆手段多的知识记忆深刻，遵从记忆规律。（3）思维：偏重于形象思维，对片面,零碎的材料尚缺乏一定的概括分析能力。（4）评价：主要通过他人评价初步形成对自己的评价，所以很在乎他人的评价；自我认识较模糊、片面，但自我意识却不断增强。对于农村学生来说，外出旅游还不是他们生活的必要部分，对于旅游胜地的了解还不是甚多，尤其是国外旅游景点，因此，学习新加坡的自然状况能极大地激发学生的学习热情。
二．教学方法：
通过任务型教学法，情景交际法，小组合作学习等，激发学生学习的兴趣，让学生乐于接受，易于接受。注重启发引导，培养学生分析、概括能力。
三．教学目标：
知识与技能：1. 能够在对整篇文章理解的基础上，理解运用以下词汇：Thousand, safe, simply, fear, whether, Indian, Japanese ,fox, whenever, spring, thousands of, on the one hand, on the other hand, all year round.
2.了解旅游胜地新加坡的语言、食物、动物园、天气四个方面的情况。
3.通过任务型阅读，提高学生分析、概括、总结的阅读能力和自主学习能力。
过程与方法：渗透通过旧词和构词法学习词汇策略和略读、细读基本阅读策略，培养推测词义，抓关键信息的阅读能力，鼓励学生努力学习。
情感态度与价值观：1. 能在小组活动中积极与他人合作，互相帮助，共同完成学习任务。
2. 以新加坡为典型了解东南亚国家的文化。
四．教学重点：
1. 能够通过找关键词了解文章段落大意。
2. 能够通过对文章细节的理解，找出去新加坡旅游的五个理由。
教学难点：
能够根据读后记笔记的阅读策略，完成语言输出，描述新加坡。

六．教学反思：本节课利用多媒体为学生创设了真实的教学情境，以图文并茂相结合的教学方式降低了学生对课文的理解难度，激发了学生的学习热情，有利于学生学习兴趣的培养。从学生的课堂学习效果看，部分学生已经形成了自己的、有效的学习策略，阅读能力有所长进，但语言输出能力，即写作能力须进一步提高。
