Olympic To Mark 2008 课后笔谈 课堂教学中挖掘爱国情感的显性因素

一谈选题:

两千多年前自奥运会诞生以来,有关她的话题始终为人们津津乐道。课文介绍了奥运简史,考虑到2008年奥运在即,作为一名自豪的国人我们备课组忍不住还是想将此议题引入课堂教学,愿望只有一个:相信若干年后学生中必有志愿者,到时如能将课堂上学到的奥运知识用到翻译接待中,吾心足矣!

事先备课组查阅了大量资料,经过筛选深思,最后锁定了最具代表的象征物——申奥会标。原因有二:

(1)       她不仅是中国人创作智慧的结晶,更为准确地体现了我国民族文化的内涵及奥运精神;

(2)       通过对会标的讨论,挖掘美育元素,激发情感教育。

    经过商讨,备课组决定由刘冬平老师执教。

二谈思路:

教学中备课组十分重视:1)学法指导;2)语言训练;3)真实易懂。

看似简单实则深刻是会标的特色。为不偏离主题,讨论中备课组限定了范围:从色彩、形状及寓意三方面展开,由浅入深,由表及里的挖掘。教学过程大致分三段:诱发、品味、收获。

第一阶段——诱发深知

首先展示了上海电视台、上海东方台及教育频道的会标,通过师生间的互动,将学生注意力吸引到感知新知的意境中,接着展示奥运会标,品味主题。

第二阶段——挖掘品味。

由学生分组讨论两个会标:(1)太极图(2)中国印。

       

从色彩、形状、寓言三方面深入体会,仔细品味。由于第一阶段辅垫到位,这时学生兴趣昂然、乐在其中。

第三阶段——收获感悟

小组讨论发言后,最后由两位同学进行终极点评。语言有功底、情真意切。

其间,学法指导体现在第一阶段;二、三阶段以语言训练为主。

我们力求课堂设计精巧,真实易懂。实实在在地教,踏踏实实地学是我们备课组一贯奉行的原则,也是我们追求的教学风格。如果一个不太懂英语的人,从肢体语言和图片中也能“听”懂课堂上在干什么,吾心足矣!

这堂课上,为了加深学生的感知,一位同学事先准备了杨兰的陈述报告朗读,文中地名太多,不准备无法朗朗上口。其他反馈均无作秀成份。

三谈反思:

课后,备课组的三位老师做坐下来进行了反思,我们认为:总的来说,和上一届相比,无论课件亦或设计都更进一步。然而,教无止尽,满意之余也颇感遗憾多多:

(1)       没能查到标准的太极图乃一大遗憾;

(2)       结尾前展示的奥运主办国情况因Excel制作水平有限未能转化成英文,中文字幕显得有点画蛇添足;

(3)       学生迟到导致计划未能按时完成,拖堂一分多钟,说明教师应变能力不够,显得美中不足;

(4)       如果复习和教师点评再简洁些,余出Best Wishes的采访时间,则高潮更突出。

如果有机会,这堂课我们还会再上,相信一次会比一次好。

I. Revision

Review some background of the Olympic Games by Ss & teacher.

Hello, everyone. We’ve got some knowledge of the Olympics background, such as its history, ceremony, flame, spirit, etc. please look at the screen, some slides will make you go back what you’ve learned.

         

II. Presentation

Teacher gives brief introduction of the Olympic emblem.

You know, to bid the Olympic Games, host countries care about their opening ceremony as well as the emblem design very much. It’s never been neglected because the simple design always carries rich messages. Here is the emblem of the Olympic. Please look at the shadow cloths and I’ll make a brief introduction. According to the following items: its colour, shape and deep meaning.

III. Discussion ( 2008’ Olympics emblem & its seal )

2.      The seal ( Discussion among Ss by group work )

Hearing my brief introduction, you’ve got a clear idea of the Olympic emblem. Actually, it’s a symbol of the host nation’s culture. With our hard working, last year Chinese football team rushed into the final World Cup Competition. Shanghai got the chance to hold the 2010 Expo while Beijing won the right to hold the 2008 Olympic Games successfully. But before getting the right, COC must represent a special emblem to the IOC. Here’s the emblem. Let’s discuss its colour, shape and find out its deep meaning. Ok?

IV. Summary

   Great job! You have a quick mind. I’m sure now you have rich knowledge of the 2008 emblem and Chinese seal. To know it clearly, I’ll call some of you to sum up them. Chinese seal --- dancing Beijing” the emblem has a single Chinese character in the emblem represents “Jing”, which means “capital”. It also resembles a runner or a dancer. So once you compare these “Jing” , you will find much difference betweem open or close style.

    The runner figure represents the spirit of the Olympics ( faster, higher, stronger ) by focusing on the energy and movement of athletes. The image carries the message that today’s china is not a nation with a long and colorful history, but one full of modern development. Moreover, it is so Chinese that it makes people think of Peking Opera.

 

 

V. Yanglan’s speech & best wishes to 2008’

  You know, to bid the Olympic games, China should present not only its emblem but its speech to IOC. So let’s appreciate Yanglan’s speech.

Terrific! As a Chinese, we are really proud of these marvelous achievements. That’s why I’m giving you such special period for the “Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing” now.

         

 IOC president once said: Our dream is that a continent such as Africa will be able to organize the Olympic games. That’s why: 117 WAYS TO MAKE THE GAME SMALLER AND EASIER FOR CITIES ACROSS THE WORLD. So fro 2008’ my best wishes is the following four points: popular / fair / peace & challenge. OK, I’ll wonder what’s you best wishes? 

VI. Assignments:

You know , eyes have turned to the battle for the right to bid the 2012’ Olympics. According to your experience, which country will be the host nation? Thanks for your cooperation. Without you I can’t go through it wonderfully. Thank you! Time is up now let’s come to the Assignments:
